Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan received visit from West Sumatera Public Information Communication Journalist Forum (FJKIP) at G Building, City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Tuesday (11/5).

In opening remarks, Anies expressed his excitement to meet journalists from West Sumatera. He mentioned that in his childhood, his side really wanted to visit Minangkabau in West Sumatera because inspired by national public figure from there.
"Famous journalists and diplomats during independence period are mostly from West Sumatera," he added.

"From Yogyakarta, I ride a bus to visit several cities in West Sumatera and had a chance to see Jam Gadang. In my mind, Jam Gadang is very big, but in reality, it is not that big. It makes me realize that words are more beautiful than the reality," he expressed.
Meanwhile, West Sumatera Communication and Information Department Head, Yeflin L. conveyed, there are not only journalists, but also Councillors from Regional Public Information Commission who joined in this visit.
"We plan to visit several locations to know the condition a
nd development in Jakarta," he explained.
